Captain Vaishakh B began his aviation career with a solid academic and flying foundation at the Bombay Flying Club, where he earned his Commercial Pilot License (CPL) along with a BSc in Aviation. These credentials laid the groundwork for his successful professional journey and reflect the high standards he has consistently upheld throughout his career.
Making an Impact as an Instructor at Flyersway
Beyond his flying achievements, Captain Vaishakh played a pivotal role as a Ground Instructor at Flyersway, contributing significantly to the institute’s reputation as the best aviation institute in Kerala. His expertise in aviation theory, navigation, and exam-oriented training helped shape the careers of numerous aspiring pilots.
He also conducted training programs across major aviation hubs including Bangalore, Pune, and New Delhi, ensuring students nationwide received quality aviation education. Notably, he was instrumental in preparing students for the RTR(A) – Radio Telephony Restricted License, equipping them with both theoretical clarity and practical confidence.
Shaping the Next Generation of Pilots
One of Captain Vaishakh’s most impactful contributions was mentoring the 2023 IndiGo Cadet Pilot Batch, where he taught Navigation and guided students through one of the most critical phases of their pilot training. Many of these students are now progressing toward successful airline careers, a testament to his mentorship and Flyersway’s structured training approach.
Reaching New Heights with IndiGo
In November 2023, Captain Vaishakh achieved a major career milestone with his selection as a First Officer at IndiGo Airlines. Further strengthening his professional profile, he successfully completed his ATR 72 Type Rating in 2024, demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning and operational excellence.
He will officially join IndiGo Flight Operations on January 21, 2025, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in commercial aviation.
