Hailing from Vakathanam village in Kottayam district, Kerala, Dhanya K M has emerged as a powerful symbol of perseverance. From the early stages of her aviation journey, she has been an integral part of the Flyersway family. Despite facing multiple personal and academic challenges during her higher secondary education and beyond, Dhanya never allowed adversity to deter her from her goal of becoming a commercial pilot. With remarkable focus and resilience, she continued working towards her Commercial Pilot License (CPL), ultimately earning a fully funded scholarship for her flight training.
As a student from the tribal community, Dhanya encountered additional hurdles, yet she rose above them with strength and confidence. Her inspiring journey earned her the rare honour of interacting with Hon’ble President Droupadi Murmu during her visit to Thiruvananthapuram, where Dhanya shared her story of perseverance—bringing recognition not only to herself but also to her community and state.
